On December 26th, Yihang Intelligence (Nasdaq: EH) announced the launch of its Urban Air Traffic Operation Demonstration Center at Joy Harbor, a well-known landmark in Shenzhen's Bao'an District.
Bao'an Transportation Group, with the strong support of the Bao'an District Government, built this UAM Center in just four months.The UAM Center covers an area of about 4,600 square meters and is equipped with a full set of facilities, including a dedicated vertical takeoff and landing strip for the EH216-S Unmanned Manned Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft of Yihang Intelligence, a hangar, a command and control center, a waiting area for passengers, a service center, and other necessary facilities.
At the UAM Center launch event, the EH216-S completed a demonstration flight over Pleasant Harbor, with local government officials, civil aviation regulators, business representatives and members of the public on hand to witness the flight.
At the same time, Baoan Transportation Group and Yihang Intelligence signed a letter of intent to cooperate, the two sides will work together to create a low-altitude economic operation demonstration, help Shenzhen low-altitude economic ecosystem construction.
In addition, Shenzhen Boling Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Yihang Intelligence have established a joint venture, Shenzhen Pengcheng Wings General Aviation Co. The group has already purchased 5 EH216-S aircraft from Yihang Intelligence and plans to purchase another 95 aircraft in the future. Pengcheng Wings will act as the flight service operator in Shenzhen, and participate in the cooperation of low altitude UAM operation in Shenzhen.
In recent years, Shenzhen has been taking a leading role in low altitude economy, a strategic emerging industry in China, by actively promoting the development of low altitude economy, including relaxing restrictions on access to low altitude airspace, actively promoting infrastructure construction and operation, and supporting enterprises to carry out service pilots. With the concerted efforts of many parties, Shenzhen is systematically building a demonstration of urban air transportation operations and accelerating the construction of a low-altitude economy ecosystem.
The person in charge of Bao'an Traffic Group introduced that after the official opening of the demonstration center, Bao'an Traffic Group will join hands with Yihang Intelligence to promote the opening of a number of travel and tourism commercial routes, provide air travel and tourism experience services, and build the project into a new landmark of Bao'an's low-altitude industry and cultural tourism. At the same time, Bao'an Transportation Group has also undertaken the construction of the Low Altitude Economy Industry Public Service Center, the UAS Application Test Base, and the operation of the first Low Altitude Economy Industrial Park in the region.
